Before launching RBC Group, Gary Kirkner was the Senior Vice President of Sales and
Field Service for CIGNA Group Insurance, a division of CIGNA Corporation, a leading
employee benefits company. During his time with CIGNA, Gary led both distribution and
customer retention initiatives for CIGNA's Disability Management Solutions business as
well as its Life and Accident businesses. Before joining CIGNA in 2002, Kirkner held a
variety of leadership positions during a 23-year career with the Unum companies,
including CEO and President of Colonial Life & Accident as well as senior sales,
operations and marketing positions with Colonial, UnumProvident, Unum and Unionmutual.
Gary is an expert on health and disability integration and workplace productivity. He holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology from State University, College at Oneonta and a Master's of Science degree in Health Education from Russell Sage College.
